Customised Clothing

Quality brands demand quality customisation – Spike delivers.

WHAT WE DO

Spike is NOT a promotional clothing agency. When working with Spike you are dealing direct with a family business – no fancy middlemen in a trendy East London office. That quality and cost saving we pass on to you. We know (through 20 years’ experience) what makes a stunning customised t-shirt, sweatshirt, hoodie or polo shirt. And we settle for nothing less.

No, we are not ‘all things to all men’ with rows of vast machines, instant online design templates and 10 second quotes. We work closely with all clients to fully understand their customised garment requirements and brand guidelines to achieve the careful balance of quality, price and originality.

Yes, quality is an obsession but clients appreciate our constant attention to detail.

HOW WE DO IT

Silk screen printing is our speciality and we are particularly good at it, but over the years we have developed a great network of specialists to support our client’s varied orders including embroiderers, Harry is our star embroiderer in Nottingham or for transfer printing, Kevin in London has been a brilliant, fast and quality transfer printer for over 10 years. Every garment is individually quality controlled in the UK and all at trade prices. Absolutely, no fancy middlemen margins.

OWN BRAND PACKAGING

Own brand packaging and neck labelling is a speciality and to many clients, critical to maintain their brand credentials but, as always any own brand development is subject to quantity. Concept development, design and strict Quality Control is what we do.

Because of our roots, we know the value of having a customised garment with consistent quality – from folding, to labelling, to swing tags. We recently worked closely with London Transport Museum, developing exclusive T-Shirt designs, packaging and labelling. Great fun and more importantly, a great result.

HOW TO ACHIEVE STUNNING RESULTS.

Spike have been printing custom T-Shirts for over 30 years and understand the tremendous advantages of modern printing technology. We offer four garment printing techniques to help you create stunning results:

  • Screen printing
  • Transfer printing
  • All over full colour print sublimation
  • Embroidery

SCREEN PRINTING

This is our speciality, produces excellent quality and the traditional printing method for t-shirts. Ink is applied onto the garment through a specially created silk mesh screen. Its then dried using specialised heat machines to lock the ink into the fabric to ensure perfect results every time.

Screen printing is ideal for cotton garments particularly with large, multi-colour designs. You can mix and match styles, colours and sizes at no extra cost as long as the print is the same.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Garments wash well and are durable.
  • Colours are bright and vibrant
  • Minimum order quantity: 50 units, dependent on number of colours in design
  • Great price breaks at 500 + pieces
  • Set up charges are ‘one off’.

TRANSFER PRINTING

This is a well-established process of printing a design onto ‘transfer paper’ and applying this onto the garment using a commercial heat press. Transfer printing can be used on both light and dark coloured T-Shirts though with lighter coloured garments the transfer is thinner so the final garment feels very soft.

KEY BENEFITS:

  • High quality design replication, unique transfer shape if required, up to A3 transfers.
  • Enables full colour designs
  • No set up charges, low volume feasible.
  • Minimum order quantity 500

ALL OVER FULL COLOUR PRINT SUBLIMATION

All over T- Shirt printing is now an exciting reality produced by an amazing ‘Dye Sublimation’ printing process.

Your artwork is printed onto a sheet of specially prepared paper and then transferred onto your t-shirt using heat and pressure. The solid dye particles turn into a gas which then bonds to the t-shirt. The result – a fantastic ‘soft to the feel all over print.

KEY BENEFITS:

  • Sharp, vivid and high-resolution images for all-over printed T- Shirts and clothing
  • Designs can be printed on both sides, one side or practically anywhere.
  • Superb quality, amazing visual impact.
  • Minimum order quantity: 300

EMBROIDERY

Embroidery involves the stitching of a digitised design using a computerised embroidery machine. The result has a professional appearance, high quality finish and ideally suited for text or logos – particularly on polos shirts and fleeces.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Multi-colour designs can be replicated at no extra cost
  • Quality appearance, durable and ideal for logos
  • One off set up costs for small design format.
  • Minimum order quantity: 50 garments
